Karen embodied her Leo nature to the core — fiercely loving, fiercely protective, fiercely fair.
She never did anything halfway. She rarely said no, not when it was in her means to make it happen.
She sacrificed without hesitation for her family.
— forever loved, forever remembered

The wall of remembrance
A place for the people who loved her to share what they hold onto.
One of my earliest memories of Mom was her telling me to clean up my room.
I don't remember her ever yelling — she didn't have to.
But that look. That look could move mountains.
— Michael, her son
a first memory
I remember my parents throwing a party once. I woke up, walked in,
and Mom gave me a sip of her drink. She got pulled away — next thing
I knew, her drink was empty, and I was out for the night.
— Michael, her son
another first
I remember all the sacrifices she made for me. She never complained,
never made me feel guilty, never even let me know.
I'm so grateful I got to be there for her the way she'd always been there for me.
— Michael, her son
with all my love
Whenever I came over, the kitchen smelled like her pound cake. She'd cut me a slice
before I'd even taken off my coat — that was Karen. Always feeding you before
she'd let you say a word.

She used to say, "If you can do it, do it right, or don't do it at all."
I hear her voice every time I cut corners.

Roses on the table, lilies on the porch, and a steak on the grill — that's how
I'll always picture her Sunday afternoons.
